Collection on Theatrical Productions, ca. 1790-2006

Extent: Approximately 575 linear feet

The Collection holds approximately 40,000 files documenting theatrical productions in New York City since the late 18th century.  Material within the files varies widely but can include manuscripts, correspondence, photographs, annotated scripts and scores, published sheet music, contracts, account records, prompt books, clippings, reviews, ticket stubs, postcards, fliers, programs, and other ephemera. The collection is organized alphabetically according to production title. Container lists are divided according to material type into paper files and photographs.
